Candle care
Candle care tips
- The first time you light your candle please let it burn across the entire surface to avoid tunneling.
- Trim your wick after every burn. This controls the size of the flame and it will avoid mushrooming.
- Keep the candle away from windy places when lighting and keep away from sun at all times.
- After lighting, store candles in a dark, cool, dry area.
- Keep candles clean by removing any dust particles or debris.
If candles has started tunneling, here are some methods you can use to fix it!
Use a candle warmer
What is a candle warmer? It is your new best friend when it comes to enjoying scented candles that can no longer be lit. A candle warmer is an electric heater that melts candles and releases the scent without the need for a flame. Intended to used with container candles, it gently heats up the wax allowing the scent to escape into the room.
Use a tealight oil burner
To use a tealight burner, just remove the scented wax from your unusable candle and place it on top of the burner. Do not add water to the wax! Then, place a lit tealight into the burners base and allow the flame to heat and melt the wax above, distributing the scent.
